Kateeva Appoints Harold Hughes to Board of Directors
Global Semiconductor Industry Executive’s Previous Roles Include CFO at Intel and CEO at Rambus
NEWARK, Calif., June 16, 2016 — Kateeva today announced that Harold Hughes has joined its Board of Directors. A veteran of the global semiconductor industry, Hughes previously brought financial, strategic and operational leadership to Intel, as CFO, and Rambus, as CEO.
In addition to providing counsel as a Board member, Hughes will oversee Kateeva’s financial reporting and risk management initiatives as Chairman of the Audit Committee.
“Harold is an outstanding addition to our Board,” said Kateeva Chairman & CEO Alain Harrus. “He has scaled operations at fast-growing companies with complex products and high-value IP, and instituted solid financial disciplines along the way. His wisdom and fresh perspectives will be extremely valuable as Kateeva continues to grow.”
For 30 years, Hughes has applied his broad financial and business strategy credentials to help turn pioneering technology companies into global brands, earning the respect of customers, and the admiration of Wall Street. He served as a director of Rambus Inc., a chip interface company from 2003 to 2012, and as its chief executive officer and president from 2005 to 2012, providing the vision and operational leadership necessary to drive growth. His private sector career began at Intel, where he held these positions: treasurer, vice president of Intel Capital, chief financial officer, and vice president of planning and logistics. After that, he became the chairman and chief executive officer of Pandesic, LLC. Hughes began his career as a United States Army Officer.
“The invitation to join Kateeva was irresistible,” said Hughes. “It’s classic Silicon Valley: Expert team with a grand vision, tremendous technology that’s commanding premium space in marquee fabs, and growing rapidly. That their playing field is the exciting upward-bound OLED market, is also a big draw. I can’t wait to contribute to the next chapter.”
Hughes holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts from the University of Wisconsin, and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan. He currently holds Board positions at Quantenna Communications and View Inc.
